Manish Chitnis and Family in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka, known to most of us as the abode of the evil Ravana, actually is a beach-lover’s paradise is true to its acquired name. This place has always been on my itinerary list for the simply reason – Its history, culture and irresistible natural beauty. I am glad I visited it! The tropical escape to this place will leave you crave for more. You can chill at the dazzling white-sand beaches of Colombo to your hearts content.
It was a delightful journey; getting up-close with the wild beings in Yala National Park, being in-awe of the mighty elephants at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, admiring the turtles at the Hikkaduwa Turtle Sanctuary; Sri Lanka simply won my heart.Savouring the most delicious Sri Lankan delicacy, the Sri Lankan crab was a delight for our taste buds. If you’re up for some shopping, I would suggest you to head to the Noritake crockery, the best in the world is available at affordable prices. Check out the gems, jewellery and batik clothing produced in this region. Talking about Sri Lankan people and our guide, they made our journey all the more memorable by helping and showing us around.
The highlight of my Sri Lankan trail would be to witness the largest water mammal, the humpback whale leaping acrobatically at the sea in Mirissa. Ah! What a sight that was.
Memories from a beautiful Holiday can last a lifetime and I would like to thank Team Trail Boutique for everything they did to make it worthwhile! Keep holidaying!
